Interested to hear Zona's thoughts on this one.

I'd like to hear Zona's thoughts as well. He isn't speaking to anyone else, even though that offer could be beaten.

The Trade Committee is voting on whether this deal is going to be passed or not. I'll let you know when I get all the votes.

ARZ- Stammy (1st)- 350 Hannifin (7th)- 185 TOTAL= 535
EDM- Doughty (3rd)- 260 Lindholm (4th)- 240 TOTAL= 500
1.Only a 35 point difference. 2. I love Doughty and Lindholm and feel they will have great years with their updated teams this year. 3. I already have Berg, and Kopitar at (C) and need a better D-core. 4. Stammy contract runs out this year, could potentially be a 10+ million dollar man. 5. Hannifin probably won't play in the show till 2016-17 season.
Really don't see the issue with this trade.... But what ever floats your boats i guess..

Yeah it looks fine to me. It addresses both teams needs.

But what ever floats your boats i guess.. I like the fact that are in love with Doughty and Lindholm. If you weren't I never would've understood your motivation to trade your best player and not get a goal scorer back in return. Here's the thing though, if you are going to use the VALUE CHART to justify this deal. Let me just say this. 35 points is a 19th pick = Jake Debrusk (was your pick in the 19th). That's a very solid player. So you are essentially giving up a good player for nothing. This deal would pass if ARI was the team getting STAMKOS. But, instead ARIZONA is losing the BETTER player in this deal and losing the deal as well on the VALUE CHART. I think any team on the receiving end of a top 3 player in this league should have to give more VALUE than the other team, not less. Why can't EDM add in one of his good FWD Prospects ? Or change Hanifin to Demers ?

If I was ARIZONA, and someone made me that offer I would say you have to add more than that to get Stamkos. Because 40+ goal scorers are extremely rare and valuable.

Okay their are still 4 other reasons why this trade benefits me. I feel my offensive core is good enough to make up for the loss of stammy, and my Dcore needs work. Also the other 3 reasons....

You guys need to rework the deal.
how about
Seguin / Dumba FOR Stamkos / Hanifin
Looks like a good deal to me
or
Seguin / Doughty / Fowler FOR Stamkos / Kopitar / Hanifin
If you guys don't like either of those ideas...feel free to re-work the deal yourselves. Stamkos is awesome in the FFNHL, so is Seguin. The other guys aren't as valuable. The team receiving the top 5 player (STAMKOS) in our league needs to be giving up more value than the other team and not less. Its as simple as that.

no offense guys, maybe it comes from a good place, but im not sure i appreciate someone else managing my roster. Nor ARZs. First off commish why would i trade Seguin for Stamkos, when i drafted Seguin AHEAD of Stamkos. Secondly maybe it would have been nice to understand the pool better...all i did is draft Dmen in the early rounds...now im told they arent worth crap...nice... Two GMs have pleaded their cases and have proven insight the their deal, without colluding, not sure what else needs to be said there. i also understand the fact you want fair trades but offering up seguin and Dumba for Stamkos and Hanifin, based on draft position alone id be damned stupid...both seguin and dumba were drafted before the other two.... anyways, id consider reworking the deal, but im also gonna have to rethink my involvment in this pool...im not a fan of this supposed trade value scale....i join these pools to be active and to discuss players and to talk trades, not to just sit back and see if i can end up with the same team in five yrs that i started with.

This is horse crap. I'm not "re-working" the deal. We made the deal and that's it, nothing wrong with the trade. There are winners and losers in every trade even in the NHL. Look at the WSH-STL trade this year. Oshie for Brouwer, Oshie is a top 4/6 while browee is a 3rd line power forward. Each team traded for WHAT THEY NEEDED.

yeah no offense commish, but you can't re-work a trade that two parties have agreed on. Just let the deal go through, they are getting needs for their club. Arizona needs help on D and Edmonton is getting forward help
